We are excited to be welcoming Krisanne Stanoulis as the newest Speech-Language Pathologist (S-LP) to our exceptional clinical team. With a background in Neuroscience, Krisanne combines her love for clinical research with her passion for helping others, to provide unique and customized therapy programs to all of her clients.
As a healthcare professional, Krisanne has clinical experience treating clients in acute care and rehabilitation hospitals, long term care facilities, and community settings. Her experience has led her to develop a knowledgeable skill set in many different adult treatment areas including: voice, fluency, social and cognitive communication, accent reduction, articulation, aphasia, and acquired brain injury. Krisanne’s diverse understanding of the science and psychology behind speech and communication allows for the development of evidenced-based treatment plans to best support your communication needs.
Krisanne is extremely dedicated to the field of Speech-Language Pathology and she is always looking for the next available course of conference to attend. She has received her Introduction to PROMPT certification to work with clients with motor speech disorders, and The Lee Silverman Voice Training Certification to work with clients with vocal projection disorders and Parkinson’s disease. After attending The Annual Conference for Head and Neck Cancer Rehabilitation in Houston, Texas, Krisanne has gained unique experience working with clients with voice disorders secondary to laryngectomy. Additionally, Krisanne has completed specialized training for stuttering with the Essential Pause Program and recently attended a conference through the Montreal Fluency Centre to add to her fluency practice.
When you meet Krisanne, you’ll notice her instant ability to connect with her clients on a personal, but professional level. Krisanne believes that the key factor in achieving positive results is to create a constructive and trusting relationship with everyone she meets. She strives to ensure that all clients feel comfortable in the therapy room and that all needs are validated, accepted, and addressed in a fun and inspiring way.
In her spare time, Krisanne enjoys practicing yoga and meditation to help find balance while living in a busy city. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is looking forward to becoming an active and integrated member of the Well Said team!
