Biography

Julie Cohn, B.A., M.Sc., is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and a Singing Voice Specialist. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music (Voice) and Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University. Julie provides clinical services in the areas of voice, fluency, accent, lisps, social skills, and professional communication training, as well as voice and communication training for transgender and gender non-conforming clients. Her performance training and experience inspires a communication approach that draws from both art and science. She is committed to deepening her clinical skills and has received additional training in a number of voice rehabilitation and training programs, including Lessac Madsen Resonant Voice Therapy and Casper Stone Confidential Flow Therapy, as well as Voice and Communication Training for the Transgender Voice. Julie strives to support her clients in creating and achieving individualized and functional goals that result in confidence, independence, and meaningful change.

Megan Smith, B.A. (Hons.), M.Sc.A. (Reg. CASLPO), is a Toronto-based speech-language pathologist who works with clients to achieve their most important communication goals. She works in the areas of speech, stuttering, accent modification, voice and gender spectrum voice, professional communication, TBI and social skills. Megan believes that her clients are uniquely qualified to set and achieve their own goals, and structures her practice as a partnership between client and clinician. She provides knowledge of speech, language and recent clinical research in the field, while her clients bring knowledge of their current abilities, goals and values. Her work as a speech-language pathologist is further informed by prior experience working on social skills with clients with ASD as well as her history of public speaking in paid positions and community groups. Megan holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Memorial University and a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from McGill University. She is registered as a speech-language pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
