Choosing Your Clinician (Before You Begin)
When you book an initial consultation at Well Said, you may choose or be assigned a clinician based on price, focus, and schedule. Rates reflect experience ($169 for newer clinicians, $189 for more experienced, $249 for the clinic director). For accent modification, voice, or presentation skills, most clinicians are suitable; for specialized needs (e.g., transgender voice, swallowing, performance voice), we’ll match you to appropriate experience. Scheduling varies (some 1 day/week, some Mon–Thurs, some Tues–Sat), so we’ll align availability with your calendar.
Finding the Right Fit (After You’ve Begun)
A strong working alliance matters. While clinician-hopping “just to see” is discouraged, please ask to switch if the fit isn’t right—then give your new clinician time so care remains organized and progress seamless. You’ll know you’ve found the right match when you feel heard and respected and notice steady, incremental improvements over several sessions (even if each visit isn’t a giant leap).
If You Need Care Elsewhere (Outside of Well Said)
If our clinic isn’t the best fit—for example, you need pediatric services for a 4-year-old, in-home post-stroke care, or an SLP in another city—use Ontario directories to find practitioners: SAC Find a Practitioner and OSLA Directory (filter by location, age, language, and practice area). For guidance choosing the right clinician—or to schedule an initial consultation with Well Said: Toronto Speech Therapy—contact us at (647) 795-5277.
