I hope you are all keeping safe during these unprecedented times. We here at the clinic have been putting all our efforts into providing the best care through telepractice services.  But, during the time when we haven’t been seeing clients we have been hard at work writing four online courses that will appear on our website within the next coming weeks! How exciting is that? We are definitely ecstatic to be able to provide these courses to our clients who are interested.

What are the courses?

The four courses will cover the topics of assertive communication, women’s communication, leadership communication, and communication wellness.

  1. Assertive Communication Course: This course will discuss how to use assertive communication in all aspects of your life. We discuss how to be assertive in the workplace and in personal relationships. This course covers the origins of assertive communication, and what are some reasons as to why some people may feel like they have difficulties when it comes to being assertive. Not only do we talk about ways of being assertive through all forms of communication, but also reasons as to why you may hold back communicating your wants and needs.  Learners will gather tools on how to apply assertive communication and how to overcome difficulties that may arise.

  2. Women’s Communication Course: Are you having difficulties communicating at work? Do you feel like you are not heard? Are you always talked over? Then this course is for you! This course was strategically planned out to help women with their communication needs. Some topics you will learn about are; how to use assertive communication, women at work, women’s voice and women’s body language. As the way women communicate often differs from men, some women may need to change their communication in order to be heard and respected in whatever they do. This course will help you understand how to gain power back as a woman whether you are a stay at home mom or the leader of a company.

  3. Leadership Communication Course: Are you a leader of a company? Are you having difficulties leading the team? Do you experience difficulties when communicating with your employees? Then you are in the right place with this course. Here you will learn the importance of leadership communication. How to use leadership skills and overcome barriers, and how to apply leadership skills with confidence.

  4. Communication Wellness Course: In this course you will learn about numerous topics when it comes to communication wellness such as overcoming conflict in relationships, professional commutation, and group communication,  to name a few. If you are having difficulties with social communication whether it be in personal relationships or at work, then this course will help you understand the difficulties you are having and how to apply strategies to help overcome those difficulties. You will learn how to understand the importance of communication wellness and how to use techniques to help support your communication skills and increase your feelings of wellness.

Who will benefit from these courses?

Anyone and everyone can benefit from these courses if you are looking to receive help in the four areas listed above. Some people may prefer online courses as they live a busy lifestyle and do not have time to see a therapist. These courses can help those with less time to work on their skills at their own pace, whenever they find free time. It is also good for those who have been seeking some guidance for communication but may not have the funds to see a therapist at this point in time. These courses will offer a cheaper option for those seeking help without feeling like there is nothing available to them. These courses can also be beneficial to those who may have had some support in the past, but need to freshen up their skills and knowledge.

We are excited for these courses to launch and once they do we will look forward to your feedback. We hope you ENJOY and find them as a great learning opportunity! Sign up now to get updates and to be notified of when the courses are launched.
